Who do you live with?
I live with my foster mom and her two sons, age 10 and 15. There are also two resident dogs, two cats, a tortoise and six chickens. I spend the most time with my foster mom since she works from home, but I really love to play with the boys outside in the yard.
WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?
I hang out in my crate. That is my safe place, and I have learned to really like it.
WHERE DO you sleep?
At bedtime, I sleep in my crate. During the day, I sleep on the couch, on the chair, in the sun, on the other dogs… I am a very skilled napper!
DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?
I do! I only have about a mile in me before I am spent, but the outside world is exciting.
DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
I like to play the “come and get me” game. I will slip out of the door or run to the other room when you tell me it’s bedtime. If the humans take chase, it is great fun. I also like to carry around foster mom’s house slipper. I don’t chew it, but I like to snag it and keep it close.
ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)?
I am! I came into foster potty trained. If the door is open, I will head out to the lawn to potty every single time! I have also never had an accident in my crate.
DO YOU LIKE WATER?
I am not a fan of getting wet. I have had zero fun with baths! The treats and towel dry after almost make them worth it. Almost.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?
They are really kind to me, even when I am learning or make a mistake, they remind me I am a good girl and we try again. I am super motivated by praise and treats. I also like that they are home most of the time, so I am not alone for very long or very often.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER?
I am looking for a forever home that can give me lots of love. Maybe that is you? If you take me home, I promise we will have lots of cuddles and I will be the best little companion!
WHAT IS YOUR ADOPTION FEE?
What do you look like?
I have a soft blue coat, floppy ears, bright eyes and a perfect potato-shaped physique. And, as you can see by my pictures, I have the quintessential “resting Frenchie face” that looks like I am grumpy even though I’m a very happy little girl!
WHat do you like to eat?
I am on a low fat diet so my pancreatitis doesn’t flair up. Royal Canin French Bulldog food with Royal Canin weight smart soft food is keeping me in tip top shape.
What kind of personality Do you have?
I am goofy and gentle. I love to snuggle with humans and dogs alike. I am a sweetheart, but I also have a stubborn Bulldog side that is quite endearing (in my opinion!).
Describe your perfect day
My mornings involve the very important role of “floor monitor,” which means I ensure the floors are cleared of all crumbs or other inadvertently-dropped food during breakfast and lunch prep. Then I eat my own breakfast and go for a walk to check out the neighborhood before spending the day napping or hanging out with my dog friends. Evenings are a repeat of my morning activities, with some playtime in the yard if the weather is nice enough. Overall, a very relaxed day with food and naps and food and naps!
What is your favorite Toy?
I like ALL the toys, from crinkly toys and unstuffed soft toys, to chew toys.
Do You Know any Tricks?
I learned how to sit very quickly, and I am learning how to wait patiently at the door to be invited in or out.
What Scares you?
So far, I have not found anything I am afraid of, except maybe baths. That’s probably more of a dislike of the miserable bath experience, rather than actual fear, though. Yuck.
Have you been around children?
Yes! There are two boys in my foster home. They are 10 and 15 years old, and I love them. I have been around younger children before, and I did very well!
Do you like cats?
Yes! There are two cats in my foster home. One doesn’t particularly care for me, so I spend my time with the younger one who wants to play with me. We have fun!
How do you feel about other DOGS?
Yes! I want to be friends with every dog I see. I get along great with the resident dogs at my foster home.
If you could be anywhere, where would it be?
Snuggled up with a human, snoring! I am equally happy snoozing in the sun or curled up under a blanket.
HOw's your health?
I am a healthy girl. I had surgery to help me breathe, so I am feeling much better now. I do need to be careful with my diet to make sure that some tummy issues don’t come back, but that’s pretty easily controlled.
