WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT?
I LOVE eating. It is my favorite thing to do. I am not picky, but I eat kibble for my meals and I get treats when I listen to my foster parents.
WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE?
I am active, alert, trainable, and cuddly- I love to get onto my foster parents’ laps and lay down, even though I’m a little big for that.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY
start off with breakfast and playing in the yard with my sister dog Sally, then going on a long walk by the river or playing some fetch, before heading back home to relax.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY?
Anything I can put in my mouth, but I love fetch
DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS?
I can fetch, I sit, and I am learning to lay down.
WHAT SCARES YOU?
HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN?
Never met one directly, but when it comes to seeing them on walks I pay almost no attention to them.
DO YOU LIKE CATS?
No thank you!
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS?
I like them, and I’m doing really well meeting my foster parent’s dogs. However, if we are on a walk I’ll start barking when stranger dogs bark
IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Next to my human, snuggling with them and my sister dog Sally.
HOW IS YOUR HEALTH?
How is your health?
WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST
Sally- a 55 pound pit (she’s my favorite), a 60 pound basset hound/GSD mix and a 12 pound dachshund mix.
WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?
In my crate, next to Sally’s crate.
WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?
In my crate, next to Sally’s crate.
DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?
I love walking on a leash, my foster dad is training me to follow his lead
DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
Sometimes I bark at other dogs on walks. I bark when my foster parent comes into the room if the door was shut. Twice now my foster dad left a pair leather boots in my room and I ate the back of those. They were tasty! But apparently that was not a good thing… how am I supposed to know that stinky cow skin isn’t food?!? I use a slow feeder because I eat quickly and I eat separately from other dogs. I can get a little defensive around food. I am still a little “mouthy” when I get excited. My foster dad is working on teaching me appropriate ways to show my excitement.
ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)?
Yes, of course!
DO YOU LIKE WATER?
I have not yet gone for a swim, but maybe!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?
I like playing games! I like fetch, and running, and walking, and learning tricks. I’m a cuddle-fiend, and when my dad sits on the ground I like to pretend I’m a lap dog. I also like car rides, and I like going to Lowe’s and Home Depot.
WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE?
I don’t remember much about my life before. The last thing I remember, Sally and I were running through the streets of Rio Linda looking for any food we could find. My foster dad found us, and I ran right up to him, he seemed nice and he had cheese curds. Sally was scared at first and ran. I trust Sally, so I followed her but our Foster dad chased after us in his car. All of a sudden Sally stopped running, and the car door opened. She jumped right in, but I wasn’t ready. I went to hide in a field, but my foster dad started to leave a trail of cheese curds out to his car… so I changed my mind and went with him. We were skinny like skeletons, our ribs poking out, and our legs would wobble with every step we took. Our foster mom found out about NBBR, and here we are now!
